Cattle pt ramp

The ramp at Cattle point has had the most of bumper tires on the cement dock wiped out by the storms. I phoned Oak Bay and told them about it, hopefully they fix it. It is a real problem when using that ramp on lower tides. Oak Bay public works 250 598 4501.

If people phone oak bay about it maybe they will do something about it.

Definitely a problem, our concern is that they will shut it down if there are too many complaints.

Oak Bay Public Works employees are also fishermen who use the ramp. I’m not sure calling them multiple times will have a huge impact.

Each fisherman could phone once, I did not say phone multipal times.

I never use the bumper tires anyhow. Small boats generally at that ramp.

I have called Oak Bay Public works to discuss getting a work order created for the ramp. The street light I called about last year early 2024 finally has a work order, they are waiting for solar to be put in. I also emailed them with pictures of the ramp. Hopefully something will be done, but doubtful this year.

Spoke with the Muni worker last week, he was ordering tie up rings and hoped to have them installed soon.
