Anyone out there with roofing experience. Looking to reroof a 30x30 2 -12 pitch carport. Currently has reused metal that leaks. What’s my best option for material that I can do myself without spending a fortune?
One option is to remove the metal , install a new peel and stick membrane/ underlay and then reinstall the metal. ( this worked on our low slope cabin roof)
I think a roll is about $150? 3’ x 80/100’?

That's a good option. Just make sure you buy new fasteners. Another DIYer(ish) option is EPDM. just need to make sure your plywood is in good shape and dry.
Bucket of tar and mop
Would be cheap and short term
Oh yeah dad would get it hot ish not trying to paint the whole roof just the nails dohhh
I can still hear him saying it ah good times
EPDM looks slick though
IMO the metal is trash, too many random holes. Deck was sheeted with osb which I understand is bad ideas with metal. Was thinking peel and stick 2 ply roll but may look into epdm. Also getting mixed opinions on ushingles with ice water underlay

We used one roll of Laplock. We just installed it in the area that was leaking as it’s a 60 year old cabin that my grandparents built. Still the original aluminum roofing on it ( that I’m sure was second hand at the time)
Seems to be working so far. One day we will peel it all and install new metal if we do some renovations. But there’s lots of sentimental value still. It’s not over a 2/12 pitch. Probably 1.5”? Tar paper for underlay originally.
