carburation vs injection

Hello all,
Some advice/opinions if you don't mind..

2005/2006 Mercruiser 4.3 192hp alpha 1.......all other things being equal do we like injection or carbs? Is one over the other enough to not go ahead on an otherwise suitable boat?

I have the 2004 4.3 MPI in my Campion ( for sale) and love it. My brother-in law has the 1992 ish 4.3LX carburetor in hi solder Sea Ray and he loves it. Both start right up and run smooth.
Very good motors. I have 300 hours and he has 800+ with no major problems on either. Both are freshwater boats. Very good on fuel as well.
