I know of a solo effort on a nice spring this morning.

I'm going out tomorrow morning with a pack of 15 salted chovies hoping to come back with some beasts in return. I'll post up how it went when I get back :D

I was there yesterday morning from 7 till 12 and did not see a fish taken. There was no chatter on the radio. I don't want to hear about all the fish taken because I was right there at the marker the entire time.:D

Well, keep your hopes up I bet there are some there and more to come. I was out there a couple weeks ago in the same scenario when the bite was on only a couple days before. Maybe they were just not hungry when you were out! :D I'll be out there from about 8:30-2:30pm tomorrow. I'll keep you posted as to my findings :)

I do know of one that was taken Wednesday morning...may have been early afternoon. Right in by the marker from what I understand....Harbour Patrol even stood by as he motored out of the fleet into the shipping lane to fight the fish. They were providing nice words of encouragement as he battled the fish! :D [8D] They apparently DO have SOME compassion. ;)

Thats pretty cool, I am sure even a couple more were taken Wednesday.
I had a major hit that yanked my line off the clip and hard to believe my sticky hooks didn't get him. I sure hope it picks up for the week end because the warriors are coming out.

Was out on Wednesday for our annual firefighters derby. There were some caught, maybe a dozen. Largest was a 20# I would say it wasn't that great for the amount of lines in the water. The derby's short and sweet so not a lot of fishing time. Weigh in by 1:30.

Went out this morning and saw 1 fish taken for every 50 boats. Couple of heartbreakers beside the boat for a few guys.I managed a 10 lb coho and released a 12 lb wild coho near the dock. I also caught 2 springs when I bounced off the bottom but they were a bit small. Perfect day on the water.[8D]

Down south is providing an alternative to the Cap fishery for fish which are MUCH nicer... :) There's lots of prime trolling water without the 50 boat BS...and the Coho are LARGE..but all wild so ID your fish and let them go. Results have been good for those so inclined to fish there... [8D]

My coho had a full stomach so I cut it open and there was an 8 inch herring in there. I think i will let those go next time because we bbq it tonite and found it quite bland. I'd rather eat spring.

I prefer spring also. After so much sockeye over the summer white spring is a welcome relief. Cut into steaks and bbq'd..nothing beats it:)

I'm going to hit the cap again tomorrow around noon and see if I can pull one more out of there.

Any reds been reported down south?? Been hard to find em all season down there! As for white spring being welcome relief on the bbq, huh? Must be a killer whiskey marinade or?? Sockeye is just melt in your mouth good!

This morning was ssssssslllllllllllooooooowwwwwwwwwww at the Cap ... any news on the bite during the afternoon flood?

I was out yesterday 7:30 to 2:30, two hits and one nice chrome 12lb spring, only saw a few taken throughout the day and all were fairly dark! Wasn't as good as last weekend, considering i have never seen so many boats out there? One big butt sea lion roaming the waters was quite a sight.
