We keep getting rid of solid playoff types when we need them, from Toffoli, Tanev, Edlers and then signing Swedishes. Horvat and Kuzmenko were fairly cheap for their production. Should be a good season, just a bit soft.

Better but far from perfect. Top guns not getting it done with any consistency . Philly hung in there, took over the 3rd while EP40 again did absolutely nothing offensively. $11m man needs to step up big time or face the wrath of being called out by the coaches, fans and media alike.

Take the win after a very slow start, great second and let up in the 3rd against a tired team. Some good signs though, Garlands a beauty, Hogs tenacious. DeBrusk needs to get going and Heinen not far behind. On to Carolina on Monday which will be a good test after 4 consecutive wins for the Canucks. Bains ,nice goal for his first. Team seemed really happy for him.
