Canadian Seal Products is launching a new ad campaign called “Good for you. Good for the environment” to get more people to consume seal products like seal oil, meat and clothing.

The ad campaign will include a series of videos, digital ads and social media posts to boost people’s awareness of the company and to teach them about the benefits of seal meat, oil and fur for personal health and the environment.

The key to turn down the fuss from PETA and the ENGO's is to get First Nations to sell it as part of a plan to provide them with much needed income from a natural/traditional source.

FNs have been aboard seal harvesting for many years - time immemorial as the saying goes. The foot-draggers have been DFO. They have been reluctant to get drawn into another battle with the ENGOs and ignore any requests for permits to begin a substantial FSC fishery let alone an economic harvest. And then if FNs ever get permits - how to sell into what market? There is currently no infrastructure for the product on the West Coast - although Pacific Balance Consulting Inc & Marine Management Inc. have been trying to develop a market. Kinda a catch-22 with DFO reluctant to change the status-quo.
