camping in Bamfield

Anyone got the digs on a spot to tent and moor in Bamfield? With the price of gas we're going on a spartan budget.
Little concerned about availability though-first weekend in August seems like the time everyone with a boat will be out.
And keep those reports coming in, this is our first trip out there and we'd like to know where the best places to fish are.
Thanks to all of you,
Hooch

Seabeam (moorage) has campgrounds behind it but I think its administered by someone else.

Pachena Bay has a pretty big Campground and beautiful beach. Its 5 minutes down the road.

Fishin' anywhere anytime for anything

Their is a campgound by the boat launch,It is very small not many campsite's and useuly full. It's right across the road from the public shower and playground.
moorage at the Goverment dock at the west end of the road.

it depends on how good of camping u want, if u head out of bamfield towards pacheena, there are a few roads that head off to the right that one could drive in with a truck and camper and get out of sight and camp for free, some of the roads head far enough in and out of the way you should have no problems, would not want to take a boat and trailer in there though, maybe park the boat and trailer around the launch, and right at the launch u can camp just up the road about 200 yrds,i think that might have been already mentioned, have fun

island fish camp in bamfield dock is a 1 minute walk to boat
