Caamano Sound area

Planning to fish Caamano Sound and Laredo Sound areas in a couple weeks.
Kind of out of the way but are there any locations recommended for Lings or halibut?

I have no personal knowledge, but given those are fairly remote from meaningful population and therefore low fishing pressure, I would expect bottom to be a highly competitive place in both areas. Both thumbs on the line ready to strike the moment the lure touches bottom.

Navionics should show the rockpiles for lings and sandy flats for hali. Try drift jigging for both, makes sense to cover more ground when in an area you dont know.

We will be up that way in a week or so for 2 weeks. Countless bumps loaded with lings and halis. A couple of great ones just north of McInnes island.

Good to know. South side of Mcinnis loaded with Black Bass. Straight out from the rocks where the fat butt sea lions hang out.
