Bustid rod eyelit

So going over my moching rod I found a broken out eyelet. Mid way if it's not sharp is the rod still ok to use. Can't afford a new rod right now and to get it repaired will take a lot of time.

Do you mean the ceramic is broken out and it is just a metal ring now?
It'll probably be fine if there are no sharp edges.
Can you steal one off an old rod? It's really not very hard to wind some thread on a new one a slap some epoxy on.
