Busted thru hull. Where do I measure?

I’m pretty sure I measure the threaded part but thought I’d better be sure before I just buy some random one. Mine measures 1” at the treaded part. 3/4 where the hose slides on. So I’m going with a 1” fitting, am I correct on that?8EA403A1-DFA2-4AA2-B048-E817E26A2319.jpeg

They had one for $12 but it says it isn’t for below the water line so that’s something to watch out for.
Yeah, it’s for my sink drain and is right at water level so I’m going with bronze or stainless. Not sure why previous owner went with plastic? And when I got the boat there were no hose clamps on the inside so pretty sure it wasn’t a factory install. Just drain hose pushed onto the barbed end of the fitting. They did go the extra mile and laid a nice bead of silicone around the plastic on the outside of the hull though. Of course no sealant between the hull and fitting flange either.

quick update on my thru hull. Poco marine. 3/4” stainless thru hull shipped to my door for $35 and change. Other items I checked out were Bimini fittings and thought those were pretty reasonably priced too.
