Well transducer had a run in with a small stick and the stick won. It was the original from my lowrance hd 7. So nosing around here and it looks like I should go with the airmar P66. Any updated thoughts advice or direction. Checked in the valley and they want 27% more than Harbour Chandler. Like to keep it local but not take up the butt either.

Happy with my 2 airmar P66'2- a quantum improvement. By the way I have dickered with a few places in the valley over stuff like this and they reluctantly met HC's prices. Don't be shy!

If possible, silicone the transducer to the inside of the hull. No worry about sticks and you can keep bottom much longer. I had an HDS-7 on my last boat and it worked great, even with the standard Lowrance 'ducer.
