the Black Friday thread was healful, so not that boxing week flyers are out let’s help each Other spend money.
Cabelas have guidewear auto PFD’s $90 off at $179.

I’ve just seen 10% off so far... what model are you wanting? I’ll keep my eyes out for them

Planning to upgrade my dbl-belt 1116 danseurs that have been and still are serving me like a charm. A bit slow in retrieving 15lbs balls when fishing deep for those winter chinooks otherwise no need to upgrade them really.

It's good to keep the smaller fishing-focussed shops in business. They have good intel to share with you when you go in for local gear and local waters. :) You might spend a couple more bucks than the big box places, but you'll save it on gasoline and time with their current local advice.

Highwater in North Van is another excellent place to buy downriggers and get Scotty authorized servicing done. Dave knows his stuff.

I'd look for a used HDS7 Gen 2. The 5" was too small for me. Lots of guys update every couple years. I got my HDS7 touch for $500 with a transducer from a member on here. It still has all his marked waypoints too. Got all the secret spots lol.

I also sold my Elite 5" for $200 so I'm only into this new unit for $300.

This is tempting at Cabelas

Just looked up the specs online. The one at Cabelas is 18,000 BTU. Crappy tire’s model is 9000 BTU only but more than enough for my deck space. I’m heading out to the store now.

Thanks for posting this, Sir Vivor. :)
