Looking to get my top repaired or possibly replaced if the fabric is toast.

Anyone know someone who does good work at a decent price?
Prefer to cater to the small-operator rather than a big-joint.

Thanks in advance.

That's funny. They did some for me too and they were quite reasonable and did good work; replaced a panel in one of my sleepers.

I was just thinkin' about sending some business out to a small independent, that's all.

try marlene at250-4784962 great work very experienced reasonable prices andpromptshe has lots of samples to choose fromw sheworked at petes tent and awnings for a number of years.atkins rd in westshore.is where her shop is located.

Thanks Striper!

Too late. I called the number (4-times) posted for Marlene and couldn't get an answer so I took my shredded top to Styles. They quoted me $65/bucks to run eight-feet or so stitching and do an 8-inch patch, saying it would take an hour. I supplied the patch.

Me thinks a guy that knew his stuff would have it done in 20-mins.
Went there yesterday to pick it up (2 or 3 hours after they said it would be ready) and they had forgotten about me. WTF? Forgettable kind of guy I guess.

Me also thinks I'll be calling Marlene when I save some coin for my new top.

I got a few quotes Styles Upholstry was $750 + taxes, Petes tent and awning was $700 + taxes, a guy on used victoria was $550 + taxes and Marlene was $375 + taxes.....just a few quotes to give you some ideas

I left her a message and she called back within 20 minutes

alos her cell # is 250-882-4533

Thanks again Striper!

Wish I had talked to her first.

Picked up my top from Styles today (ready a day late). Didn't offer me a break for having to make the extra trip down there. That would have been nice.

Maybe 8-feet of stitching and an 8x8 patch that I supplied = $73.00

I'm sure it wouldn't have taken the guy more than 20/mins. (I'm pissed)

Last time I go there.

I'm going to take down Marlene's number for my cuddy-cushions and new top next year.

Please contact Marlne dos Reis (h) 250-478-4533 or cell 250-882-4533. She does excellent work, is prompt, reasonable and resides in Langford. Very competent. All you can ask for.

I have been looking for someone like this. Quotes through the roof for some stitching repair. Perfect timing, i"ll be calling as well.

Can Marlene do a complete fabric replacement on existing alum.tubing ?
I will give her a call.

I found a local outfit called Always In Action (Genita and Jake) www.alwaysinaction.ca. They made a flybridge cover, rear awning, side curtains etc for me. Very reasonable prices and great quality. They do it as a side business so they aren't super quick, but the price is great.

For the awning, they also supplied the stainless tubing -- I built the frame and they custom cut, sewed and fit the material and it turned out fantastic. They can easily replace old canvas off a frame as they can use the old stuff as a template.

I found a guy who will replace the top, 2 side windows and all new zippers fastener's etc for $700
still seems like a lot ?
the sunbrella is about $34 a square yard and he said he'll need about 8 yards.
what do you think ?

I got mine done through a friend. The guy did it at home, he has the equipment. I got the same done as you are looking for RS, and my price was a little less than 700, but no tax. I think the price you were quoted seems to be very fair.
I was quoted much higher by some of the local shops in town.

I'm getting the camper section done very soon also. I look forward to having that for the winter, for storage as well as for fishing.

Marlene, In Langford does excellent, professional work. Very reasonable. Doubt her price and quality can be beaten. (250) 478-4533
