Boat show at convention center.

I think its worth the $20. Where do you get 3-4 hours of entertainment for that. Lots of great boats to walk around. American Tug had a complete line up, Cutwater, Grady, Pursuit, and lots of metal boats. You can get a pretty good idea of the cost to re-power. Lots of electronics on display. Lots of free info. It’s the $35 parking that I find exorbitant.

It's $5 after 5pm too for 17+ people. Doesn't help if your trying to do something with the kids but otherwise... in retrospect I should have done this option when I went on Weds. I paid full pop in late afternoon, but I don't think I ended up being there longer than 3 hours.

I had fun walking around. The Westcoast Fishing Tackle and the Pacific Net and Twine booths were good. There was a beautiful Lifetimer Center console rucked in the corner. It’s always interesting to see how much better the fit and finish is on a quality boat like that compared to a lot of the higher priced factory production models. Beautiful welds and heavy plate. I took Friday afternoon off, way better than working and always fun to critique boats I can’t afford. Scotty has an interesting new gear caddy that connects to the downrigger mount. I picked one up to try. Also got a nice headlamp that clips to your hat brim from pacific net and twine. Will be handy for winter fishing. Good deals on spoons at the Westcoast booth.

That flat black paint on the Lifetimer CC was beautiful.

Walker had miniature welded aluminum models of their line up along with the one full size boat.

Was able to take skytrain from Lafarge today. Glad I work nearby. Ended up getting a free shirt from Jack's boat yard, just because my name is Jack.

Got my friends boat pamphlets for them as the jam tarts bailed on me at the last minute. And they're the ones in the market for new boats.

Hopefully next year it's back to bc place, then I can drive there and not pay $20 for parking. Plus around, Port moody and coquitlam the train literally screams at you. Gives you headaches.

All in all, it was an interesting outing.

What is this new caddy DR mount you speak of can’t seem to find it online

I bought one and installed yesterday. I couldn’t find it online either. I hard mounted mine to the gunnel. Going to go fishing and try it Saturday. It will only work well if your downriggers are elevated. If they are too close to the gunnel they tools won’t fit well when you rotate the downrigger.

Any photos of it?

Here ya go, picked mine up yesterday. Nothing online since the first shipment of these went directly to the boat show. Should be in stores soon, but PNT will have boat show product.
Sorry, haven’t mounted mine yet.
