Not too hard to fall out of a small skiff that's going fast in marginal conditions I've almost done it myself a few times (and as recently as last year).

It was pretty nice yesterday afternoon. Flat calm sunny and almost zero wind. The conditions were as good as it gets for survival. But with hypothermia who knows. We saw the Coast Guard helo doing passes back and forth at 7 pm In front of the RVYC. Big machine. Hope he’s found.

my dad told a story of a boat trolling along with no crew in Ukee many many moons ago…when they got close, there was a 100 plus pound Hali still kicking in the bottom of the boat.

coast guard figured the hali booted the guy off the boat with its thrashing about. maybe he got knocked on the head with a spreader bar cannon or something?
