Bisbee's....Congrats JT....Unbelievable

Just got back to Tofino for a quick visit with the kids, haven't had a chance to check in with this site in a while. Thanks for posting this up Chad, and thanks very much for all of the kind words guys! It was an incredibly lucky win for the team for sure, so many different things had to happen for this to come together we're all still very much in shock over what happened. The stars definitely aligned for all of us on this one.

As much as I love traveling and fishing abroad, BC will always be home. I truly miss this place when i'm gone and am jealous of all of you that get to fish here in our beloved province year-round!

We're off on a new and exciting adventure now that will see us launching our brand new 60' Spencer in West Palm Beach, FL next week, then a month of rigging and tweaking will follow before we depart around Christmas. Our loosely scheduled fishing plan is to cross through the Panama Canal around the new year, fish Panama for a month or so depending on the bite, then head to Costa Rica for a few tournaments, then up to Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, and finally Puerto Vallarta, MX where we will sit tight for a few months to fish the Revillagigedo and Maria Islands for the duration of 2013. In early 2014, we will be taking the boat back down to Panama, through the Canal and back up to Florida where we will load the boat onto a freighter and ship her to the Canary Islands for 6 months of blue marlin fishing in Cape Verde, the Azores, Ghana, Madeira, and the Canaries depending on where the action is.

While i'm excited about the next few years, i'm a bit bummed that i won't be back to BC for a salmon, halibut, trout, or steelhead season in the foreseeable future. So please keep the reports coming from back home, because i'll be living vicariously through all of them!!!

Hope you guys have a great winter steelhead season, and thanks again for the kind words.

Captain Josh,

Those of us who don't know you, and even those that do, feel terrible that you won't be able to fish here on the west coast of BC. We will do our best to enjoy ourselves to the max while you torture yourself fishing in Cost Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Florida and heaven forbid the Canary Islands. Here's to good fishing and safe sailing.

Cheers

And all I wanted was some of the pics :(

CJ, my brother in law in Spain goes to Cabo Verde each year spearfishing for a month. He goes down with a large group from France and they live very primitively fishing every day. They have to ship in all the gear, boats, motors etc. They hire locals to carry it into remote areas. The place is amazing. I've seen pics of his ventures. The fish are plentiful and large. Watch out though for sharks. A good friend of his never returned from the trip in 08. There aren't quite the resources there to help you if you run into problems. I'm sure your gonna have some stories after that one. Saludos y suerte....

I hope nobody misinterpreted my earlier post. I'm sure we are all a bit envious of the Captain. Hats off to him for being able to do it. :)
