IMHO the best fishing this coming year for Springs will be the first week of August. No I will not guarantee that!

We actually have a group of nine, with three boats. One individual couldn't make this year in August, so I actually booked four cottages the last week of July at Handsome Dan's West Coast Cottages this year. Book seven days, pay for six. Have already arranged moorage for the three boats at the marina.

I have looked into this one and it looks and sounds nice. I have never contacted them; however, unless you want to deal with the river the big question is - Do they have (or can they arrange) moorage?

I was looking at Dan's cottages as well Charlie, we would like to stay as a group if possible,
looks like 2 of Dan's cottages are side by side.
maybe we'll see you for a beer if it all works out.

All of those cottages are close and close to the Marina.

I can tell you what is not available the last week of July. Moorage for three boats at the Marina and - The Port O’ Pierre (cottage #1); Villa Johanne #2 (2 people); The French Girl’s Lair #11 (3 people); Chateau de Gino #13 (2 people); Rod’s Roost #32 (2 people)

If you are there the last week of July, I might even offer to take you out one morning? Crown Royal would be better!

I've had a few groups stay at Big Fish Lodge and everyone said they would go back. They will prepare your catch of the day for dinner, pack lunches etc. all for a reasonable cost. Highly recommended if your with a larger group.

The cottages are nice as well, but you have to book early, most are already rented during peak season.
