Best time for Albernie Sockeye?

Only time I could get off is 1st week of August. Are we going to be late for Sockeye or just right.[?]

I would say late, I think in the past 1 month sooner is better.

id say late the springs should be comming in by then enda june to mid july would be the best times id say

The only guaranteed time to fish Alberni Sockeye this year is June 15 - July 2. Then they reforecast, and who knows if they stay open.

Normally the best time for Sockeye from prior years has been just after the July long weekend. The peak of the run is over by the end of July, especially if the river is up and the fish go in to spawn. If all you have is the first week of August. I don't recommend to clients trying for Sockeye at that time of year, rather the are way better going off shore for the last part of the Columbia River run. You should also be able to pick up a hali or two with no problems.
