best riding hull???

I have never been on one but the contender hulls are know to be as good as they get for ride, but you need a lot of motor to push deadrise like they have

I have a 26 Hourston project hull which I would sell... New baby no time! I had a 23 Hourston with a pod, should never have sold it. Good ride, easy on fuel. Anyhow, if someone has the time and is interested in the project, you can call me at 250-949-0641.

There are a lot of things to consider in hull design. Dead rise is a big factor, weight, and hull structure.

For example a Sea Sport 24' gets 2 miles per gal an hr better than a 24' Orca, that is due to the hull design but the Orca can handle bigger water.

In regards to interior comfort, boats that have foam injected hulls are heaver and a lot quieter and warmer than none injected hulls, but to injecting hulls is big $$$ so that is why Orca, Grady's and other boats with injected hulls cost so much. There is also the type of stringers used (wood, fiberglass, carbon fiber) that could add additional costs and strength to the hull when hitting those big waves at 30 mph.

Early to mid 70's 24' Searay. They ride awesome and you can find them for next to nothing . My 25' revenge rides like a jacked up old Ford 4x4 truck in the chop. Beer goes flat in seconds :p
