Best Beaches in Howe Sound

Wreck Beach ??? Oh sorry-- not really Howe Sound.... but what the heck, its all good!

Oh yeah ! Really depends what type of beach you mean and if you have access via dinghy and you don't mind pebbles ? There are some little gems. "pebble beach" on Anvil Is. is tiny but very private with small flat pebbles- about a mile west of Camp Daybreak; Around the east side of Anvil facing Sea to sky on the south side of Anvil's "panhandle" there is a small nice pebble beach facing south. Back side of Anvil facing north theres a "beach" thats decent. North of Defence along that mainland there is a small hidden beach tucked in tight facing north. Brigade Bay on Gambier ; Hallket bay Marine Park , Avalon/ New Brighton / West Bay on Gambier; Tunstall Bay; Bowen bay; Snug cove; Plumper cove on keats has two nice beaches, north and south sides . Paisley group has a few; Ragged Is has a cool one at low tide. Gibsons Gap has Georgia Beach and just west of Georgia about a mile there is 'secret' Beach that is huge. Theres more too and I have not included the highway side with Alberta Bay being one of the nicest. Lions bay also has a nice little sandy local's "private" beach and of course Porteau and Fury Creek. I grew up plowing the waters of Howe sound so yeah there are beaches but don't hold your breath looking for one of those West Coast mile long White Sand Beaches.

Haha.....Peahead just named about 7 I was gonna point out! There is a nice little cove/beach just east of Brigade as well that gets all day sun and easy to drop a hook out front for the whaler.
If you do go there......can you look for a small Sony ghetto blaster, an oyster shucker, a pair of yellow Spy sunglasses and a "Best of 54-40" CD? They are all there somewhere.....but still missing.

On the same trip I did send a "Daft Punk" CD to the deepest darkest depths of Howe Sound.......THAT was intentional but really pissed off a buddy's girlfriend.
