it's fine if you're on a budget...however...if you can afford it and you fish lots---Maxima is where it's at....

how much is the maxima line?

I'd go have a look at the tackle shop for a large large spool that's enough to do all your reels.

I usually take my reels in and get them respooled at a bargain deal price of $9/reel off a big big bulk spool. 25 or 30 lb test.

Big been running that new hi vis greeen for 2 years now and I do like it very strong and doesnt seem to break down too badly and i get big springs with it so personally dont think they see it the first time i saw it I was worried but not now. the real bonus for me is I can see where the fish is in releation to where it is in the water and my fellow guides can see it to keep away as well, like FM said I take them down to be respooled which i do about every 45 days or so in the summer.

I've used Berkley Big Game before.... seemed a little stiff, but it performed well.

i like maxima. ive had no problems with it. good strong stuff

ultra green for me all the way no doubts........

Pablo thats what I like about it especially fishing with flashers all the time dont seem to get any tangles with and it is very tough.

Good luck Wolf

What of reels/fishing??

I like braided line for everything but Steelhead fishing. Steelhead reels get P-line Fluroclear 12lb.

I really like Big game for salmon leaders, and tuna topshots. As well, good stuff for egg and bobber fishing leaders in tight quarters where abrasion resistance is key.
