Ok...here's a great debate...

Given the year as a whole..which are do you prefer and which area offers more consistent fishing from April to Sept?

Barkley Sound..(including running to 7 mile)

or the Sooke area? (Pedder, etc etc etc)

;)

Although i've never fished there, i would think Barkley sound
with all those offshore banks would out produce Sooke.
Also seems that the further west you go, the better the fishing.

That being said, Sooke has seen some good to awesome Chinook fishing
over the last few years and it's not far from home !

I fish out of Ukee and its awsome. Barkley sound holds Chinooks year around and the summer the chinook fishing is crazy lots of spots that hold fish, lots of bait means lots of slabs!
Tight lines

Is there going to be a place to launch in Ukee this year, Reel Addiction? I heard a rumour that there is no place left to launch a boat. True?

Havent been to island west yet but i wouldnt think they will take out the launch, the airplane base is always open you just need to be in the boat when you set out they dont have a wharf.
