Went out Sunday morning for a couple of days of r&r with intentions of staying at Seabeam for a couple of nights. Stopped at Pill point on the way and grabbed a nice 15lber within the first 5 minutes. moved up to Diplock and got a 25lber.mmmn limited out on springs and its only 10am.Thats the downside to fishing solo. It was too rough to head out for Halibut so I checked into Seabeam and drank some lunch... Yesterday I was up and on the water by five and fished Kirby, action right from the start. I battled 3 big bruisers and finally landed one around 20lbs. unbelievable how scrappy these fish are. My arms were tired after a couple of hours and hadn't even had a chance for a coffee. I then moved over to Edward King and grabbed another large spring. My limit again and its only 9am. what a blast though. All the fish were between 30 and 60 feet and caught on anchovies or on a purple haze hootchie. On Sunday there was a lot of fish caught beside Bradys beach and there were several boats fishing there yesterday morning. I was back in Parksville by lunch time a day early, shame.
