Is the pub operating this year?
Is their diesel fuel available in the harbour?
Are any of the docks taking moorage for a 38 ft vessel or is it anchoring only?
thanks a lot for the info
We didn't make it to Bamfield last week, but Ucluelet has all of that if you are stuck. Perhaps someone has Steve's (handles moorage in Ukee) phone number.
No diesel, the pub is open though and you'd be hard pressed to find unclaimed moorage for a 38ft boat at this time of August. Good fishing though, anchor up if you have to.
Thanks Millsy
Been fishing there for 30 years, but this year the boat has grown and we are running up the outside next week. We love Bamfield and will anchor out......run to Uke for fuel when we have to

Oggidog, I know you been doing it for 30 years, but watch coming around Cape Beale in the afternoon, don't cut it too close... been there, done that, a couple of times! It is way to easy coming in from the south!
Then you also know about the dock by the Coastguard station, right by the store? I used to tie there with my 50? It is kind of hit or miss, but I usually found a place on that side of the channel? A couple of times, I even tied on the fuel dock, just above and below the pumps? The only thing they asked was I be off before they opened? That did work for me!
