Just got back from Bamfield tonight. Fished the wall on Saturday, not a sniff, the natives had a net set up just at the start of the wall about 1/2km out of the mouth of the harbour. Tried Kirby point as well on Saturday, radio chatter was promising, only put in about an hour, nothing , had to pull up and call it. (brothers wife got sea sick)Decided to go for it on Sunday. Went to seven mile bank IT PAID OFF , tons of fish. Probably hooked up 40 times or so. We lost a lot, released alot, and kept alot. Quite a few springs
Lots of Coho, even a Sockeye. The best producing lure was the plain
glow hootchie, it out preformed our spoons by a fair margin. We had the best luck for springs at 70 feet. The Coho were up a bit higher,
40 to 60 feet. Hope you have as good a time as I did.
Cheers... Rich
