Aquaculture improving?..The Fish Farm Thread

Lots of companies spill oil and diesel into the water on fairly regular basis. Fish boats, trains, tug boats, vehicles, fuel docks, logging camps etc. None of them try to do it.

Ya, HG is right - there are numerous incidents of small-scale diesel spills every few years from many operators - the Queen of the North was one.

More importantly for me - it is the stuff ones doesn't see that is a more constant threat - like the release of pathogens from FFs that affect wild fish that die - and nobody sees the dead fish nor tests for pathogens in those affected wild fish - not does the industry nor the mandarins in the Aquaculture Department of DFO wish anyone look for neither.

Thank goodness for the PSF:

Do you? Pray tell. I do know from my more that fifty years on the water that it takes a hell of a long time to pump 8,000 litres thru a hose. Some one was asleep at the nozzle.
Thanks for proving me correct
Yes I do know , only thing i agree with you is yes 8000 ltrs takes awhile to pump, depending on sizes of pumps/hoses, I've been in trucking industry since forever,
Please tell us all
Where did the 8000 ltrs go?...again didn't think so

Best I can offer;
Have you more recent updates? Please share.

A ship hits a rock (Not in Namgis Area) , takes on water and makes it safely to port .......................... how is that even news. Boats hit rocks all of the time even First Nation boats ......................... what is the outcry about ?? As in all marine accidents it will be investigated.

Obviously if there was no fish farms there would be no boats and therefor no accident’s

The Ronja Islander is NOT owned by Grieg Seafoods.
She emptied her holds of only seawater! to raise her up higher in water , this put damage above waterline.

Well supposedly this new liberal gov wants to see growth and investment and improve the economy. Maybe the days of shutting down all resource based industries will stop. Maybe they will also step up for the sports fishery with marked fisheries also .. .... room for everyone and a chance for small town coastal areas . Imagine if forestry was also allowed to thrive again...... we will see

Yeah but then he went ahead and basically
Picked JTs cabinet, did it gender equally again sunny ways
