Apex Lures?

The 3.5 size blue and green #91 worked well for me. I tried for coho but got a 28lb spring with it, on a trout rod.:D

My son caught about a 15 lb. spring with a 4" cop car Apex last summer. No flasher about 75 ft. behind the wire 50 ft. down.

We use them all the time. I like the bigger sizes 4.5, 5.5 and 6.25 work well on the inside or outside of Vancouver Island for chinook and hali. Normally we rig them with a 4/0 single siwash or 5/0 at higher speeds. I like to use glows when fishing deeper than 80 feet, dark tones in greens, blues and black. I also like orange and pinks. Troll 2.3 to 3 with 5 to 6 foot leader behind a flasher. Mason

Thanks guys. I was organizing my tackle for my trip to VI in july and realized I probably have 10 of every color! They work great down here out of Bodega bay ethe watermelon are especially deadly early in the season when the salmon are feeding on krill. Between Apex's and Hoochie's almost no need to ever use bait.. But all I keep hearing about Coyote spoons, coho killers and teaser heads with bait up there. I have trays full of Rotary Salmon Killers too, you clip an anchovy or herring into them and they spin, do they work up there as well for springs?

Yes they do work, but not many guys use those bait heads.
