Anyone want to trade their 247 plastic dual base for the 447 stainless version?

I saw a guy selling 2 of them from the island on facebook 150$ for both with swivels!

@Rain City
That's a good deal I guess. Leaves me with leftover parts though. I'm so done with selling ****

I have what you want , I tried what you have and decided to keep what I have and you want. Sorry I couldn't resist.

I phoned Scotty directly and they packaged everything for the conversion. Shipped to my house. I’ve been meaning to sell the shiny chrome ones on Marketplace.

Can somebody explain the functional difference here? Is the all-plastic version stronger? Or is this only about aesthetics?
Plastic is stronger and shorter. So higher mounts the plastic is easier to pull the rod. But if you have low riggers the metal are fine. And they have more adjustment.

I run my rods straight out the back of the boat and have the hard plastic holders. I wanted to lower the angle of the rod so I tried a buddies adjustable holders but found the adjustment was either too low or too high. Also they really flex alot so I was nervous about breakage and loosing my rods and reels.

Scotty do an offset spacer which allows for finer adjustment of the angles but you may need the longer adj screw knob

Thanks but the flex still concerns me.
