He wasn't on a charter boat, he was on his own with his wife and dog. There were a couple of charters in the area that came over to search for him when he was in the water

Son & I heard the call while bouncing for hali in front of the light, pulled gear and went down (I think its only about 4 miles), but was recovered by the time we got there. Was hoping for the best, but sad to hear the news.

It was a bit rough that day but not too bad for a boat that size. The call on radio said without a life jacket, wearing a red jacket, or at least that's how we heard it.
