Spensive! I was also hoping for one with an integral battery. I rarely use the tender for anything other than... tendering.i use an aquamot 2.2 on mine.
How bigs your tender and where do you keep it on your new boat? I’ve got outboards and am trying to figure out where to put a tender and motor on 33 feet and no swim grid space. Do you use the roof or deflate?Spensive! I was also hoping for one with an integral battery. I rarely use the tender for anything other than... tendering.
I have a costco one that's about 8 feet long but skinny and light. That one just has oars. I can easily lift it up onto the roof rack myself. The only trip that I used it I left it up there inflated and didn't have much trouble at all getting up and down. I wanted something more engine-ready and a little more robust for rocky beaching so I just picked up a Quicksilver 200 Tendy from another member. It's pretty damn short at just over 6 feet so I'm hoping I can manage it the same as the costco one and get it up on the roof as well. My old one was 7-6 but with the Commander I could easily just slide it up onto the deck through the transom door when we were under way during our trips. Not the most convenient thing but we also only inflated it when we were at our destination and we knew we'd be staying a while. If we fished, we'd tie the tender up along side the boat. I actually prefer the new setup with the roof rack and the wide starboard walk-around because storage is simpler. I'll probably get a Thule cargo box for up there as well, there's plenty of space. How bigs your tender and where do you keep it on your new boat? I've stored mine upside down on the bow. OK for a few days, but not great if running long distances as it limits your vision somewhat. How bigs your tender and where do you keep it on your new boat? cheapo version of it is also available if you want to use some elbow grease.Spensive! I was also hoping for one with an integral battery. I rarely use the tender for anything other than... tendering.

beware you need to use lifepo4s with high amp output - dont use the included batteries as they are lipos. very explosive.![]()

Those would be the dream for sure. They're so slickBassPro has the electric Merc outboard. It says 7.5 on it but that's not the hp equivalent from what I learned. Its more like a 3-4 hp version. Battery included it was around $5k if I remember right. Looked just like a regular outboard.
yes practically all new ones are since the controllers are cheaper than brushes,The real question...is it brushless?
Yes but they LOOK coolyes practically all new ones are since the controllers are cheaper than brushes,
BTW the merc is junk. old inefficient design.
no argument there lol.Yes but they LOOK cool
Got some links to reading on the Merc electric? I'd like to learn more about electric OB design.yes practically all new ones are since the controllers are cheaper than brushes,

That's the first thing I looked at. Looks like they are.The real question...is it brushless?
TBN is usually good at these sort of things.Got some links to reading on the Merc electric? I'd like to learn more about electric OB design.
