Anti-seize on outboard spark plug threads?

Hi Guys

I am changing out my plugs and was wondering if it’s a good idea to put anti-seize on the treads.

Also what type of anti-seize is best if I am going to use it.

Thanks

Hmm. Plugs I use have a crushable washer that compresses at a specified torque. There is a torque spec for both plugs and motor, so I never have greased spark plugs.

That’s what I have normally done. I just saw a guy online saying to use anti sieze in salt water

I never used any on a 30 year old evinrude two stroke and didn't have any problems. The mercury Verado I have now says to use anti seize in salt water and has a part number for a specific copper based loctite product. Looks like the previous owner slopped on some silver color antiseize and it seems ok, but I have no idea how I would clean the threads out.

I just checked the front or my motor. It says to use anti sieze in salt water. I’ll look up that part number. Thanks.
