Another prop question

Just trying to find out if I’m dialed in correctly,
I got a pair of 17 pitch enertia props for my new to me mercury CT 115’s, WOT I’m running just over 6000 rpm, and top speed of 39 knots, at 4000 rpm I’m about 21knots. Is over 6000 rpm a bit too much? Curious to see what you guys with the same motors are running.

I’m not running those engines but the way I was shown was to prop the boat to barely touch the redline when you are lighter on weight in the boat. That way when you are really heavy and the rpms drop you aren’t running around over propped.

What hull you are running them on?

I've got 14.5" 17P Enertias on my twin Seapro 90s... little lower HP obviously, but same block/gearcase/weight as your 115 CTs... Lower RPM too with the Seapros I think...

Anyway... I haven't been out yet this year and I've got to refresh my memory and document it a little better but I think I'm about 40mph WOT at maybe 5300 rpm... I'm cruising usually around 25mph with a burn just under 5 gph per side, maybe 3500 rpm or so?

I’m running a 22 foot searay,
I hit 6090 rpm with a medium load
I just feel like my rpm are a bit high at cruising speed but maybe I’m just used to my old motors with 4 blade spitfire props,
The more I’m looking into this the more I’m thinking I’m right in the sweet spot. I thought I shouldn’t go over 6000 rpm but I might of been mistaken, online it says up to 6300 rpm.

You seem to go across to Thrasher often, and in those occasional heavy seas, the ability to come on and off of plane with a load, with ease, would be nice to keep. The props as is seem to give you that.

6300rpm is for the ProXS. The regular 115 including the commadn thrust is 6000 rpm max. If you want to try a set of 19 pitch enertias, mine aren't going to fit my new engines. You can borrow them to test if you want. I'll have them for sale shortly when I get time to take some pictures.
