So I did some extra finishing on the boat but been pretty busy so haven't gotten to posting up new pictures. First step was to strip everything down and sand the aluminum so that the epoxy primer has a good grip. Next I painted the dash with 2k urethane paint from alexseal. I coated the top of the bow, gunnels and rear decks in kiwigrip. The kiwigrip is a pretty interesting product, it's amazing how fast the stuff starts to dry being a water based product. It's sort of a thick mayonnaise consistency and you spread it around with a notched trowel and then use a special textured roller. The roller really flings the stuff around good so you really need to mask everything off well that you don't want to get it on. On a side note I've used a product from a company called liquid rubber that's a polyurethane deck coating. I'm almost certain they are exactly the same except the polyurethane deck coating is waaay cheaper. The stuff is extremely durable.
