Ya,I keep tellin' him to put a few more horses on the back. When him and I go fishing in it,it takes a bit to get up on plane, and goes about 20 mph tops. What size is your main,if you don't mind me asking?
60hp on mine, it'll go 55-58 km/h fully loaded up with 2 tanks of gas 2 ppl all fishing gear, cooler etc, if I am alone with the boat bare bones and I trim the motor up and its flat calm it'll go over 65km/h but starts to porpoise and gets extremely uncomfortable and dangerous quickly. I think its a perfect sized engine for this boat power/fuel consumption/weight. I just wish it had power trim and tilt, that is the most annoying thing about this motor.

Back on topic, my chain weighs more then my anchor, 11lbs of chain with a 6lb danforth, 10lb navy. Many people have suggested I get more chain, was this suggestion just for retrieval purposes or is more length/weight needed for anchoring?
