Hello every one ........

Does any one have any opinions on the new Amundson single actions ............ hard for an old dog to try some thing different but whats your views. I'm rather questioning the finish ..... will it last ?? Specially on the chuck ....... likely to do the same as the old remake of the Windex .... which turned out to be crap.

So what Choo say ?

LOOKING FOR ANY ONES OPINION on these ......... are they any good, ? Or is it a Cheap Islander copy that will break down in a couple years ??

Thanks

I have 2 of the older amundson moocher reels tmx4 reels. I've had one for 6 months and one for 2 years. They have stood up for me. No issues with the finish. Rinse after every use though. I have full confidence in these reels. I've had other knock offs and these are the best imo. The only nicer reels I've used were islanders.

I'll let you know in a couple of months of HARD testing. I wouldn't have bought them if I thought they would f*ck up. LOL!

High Liner's (not me) have been testing them for years. It's a good product. Quit beating around the bush so to speak. Get on it and tell us your experiences with the product.

I'm personally sick of Shimano products and needed a change. The new 4000gt's haven't cut it. I was due to buy some newer reels. I don't have the Islander's or Coast's in the budget for tackle. I went for the half price route to get into the aluminum reel market. Amundson was my choice.

I just bought a TMX4 from Pacifc Twine in Parksville and am looking forward to to using it. the drag knob is very accessible and the reel has a good feel to it. That's all I can say until I try it.

I bought one from PNT back in the summer. Just got to use it a couple of times, but it is nicer to use than either my Diawa or Shimano.
Looking forward to giving it a real work out next year.
