Pretty sure Doctor Bonnie Henry was explaining that back when everybody was whining about the extended wait times between 1st dose and 2nd doseaside from comments above, I think as US now is approaching fading effectiveness of their double vax, it would be more important focusing on studies in Canada specifically. It is clear that our wait of 8 weeks+ has gone a long way and we we are still seeing strong resistance 6 months later. US were 3 week shots so they are seeing the lower effectiveness now and the need for boosters.
Still say we lucked into that!
ahh, yeah, rarely followed her so didn't pick up on that - I see articles looking back that was part of the calculated risk as much as just getting a jab in as many people as possible as well. All indications 'so far', that turned out to be an amazing move that should be praised. Will be interesting to see how long effectiveness holds up here and if they push a booster even if no signs of efficiency drop.Pretty sure Doctor Bonnie Henry was explaining that back when everybody was whining about the extended wait times between 1st dose and 2nd dose
As crazy as some theories are, I don't think it's so far fetched for the pharmaceutical companies to have pushed the doses a little quicker than they had any proof for. It's in their best interest for us to need three and four.

Boy is this ever an understatement. Pfizer, Merck, Astrazenica, Johnson and Johnson are all in the top 10 of largest payouts ever given to people for either misrepresenting a drug or selling a drug that was harmful to people. This was all in the last 15 or so years too so very recent. The only difference this time, is they are free from any consequences if there are issues with the latest rushed vaccines and subsequent boosters down the line. No wonder people are a little nervous to rush out and get "jabbed". Especially people that do not need the vaccine.100 percent agree. There was a race to 8 billion potential patients revenue and profits.
Big Pharma has a history of not acting in the best interest of their customers. We all know the drug OxyContin. Sackler family made so much money from legal smack that they are paying out Billions with a B in settlement money. Fool me once......
Half the kids at school now are diagnosed with ADHD and loaded with drugs. Everyone has got their 'scripts from housewives, children, homeless etc.
Remember these are the same companies.......Hard for some to see clearly through rose coloured utopian glasses on . I guess I'm just a cynic.
Curious as to which people don’t need the vaccine?Boy is this ever an understatement. Well this is just my opinion but the numbers show a very small risk to anyone under 30 or so, with zero co morbidities and a healthy weight. I know that there have been younger people that have died from Covid-19 and also have had long term complications but below 30 or so , the numbers get pretty small. I understand the argument to this is that it protects others but if we are talking about who needs the protection and who doesn't, I don't believe everyone needs this vaccine to stay alive and healthy. I'm not discouraging anyone from getting it, I just think we have bigger fish to fry that would probably save more lives but all anyone talks about is Covid-19. The overdose numbers come to mind and are surprising.Curious as to which people don’t need the vaccine?
Anyone can die or have long term health issues from Covid 19. Look at Brandon Sutter, a professional hockey player in superb condition that still is suffering long term effects from last April

Yes I understand the Covid risks for the unvaxxed. I’m saying in under 30 year olds it’s small, not completely gone. There is another side to this whole Covid thing that no one is talking about though. Sure, we’ve saved some people with all the lockdowns and mandates etc but we’ve potentially caused a lot of problems doing it. Have you seen the overdose numbers in 2020 compared to 2019?Yes, everyone’s opinion counts but facts are facts

Covid deaths in BC in the last 2 years-2100
Covid deaths in under 40 year olds in all of Canada over the last 2 years -530
Overdose deaths in just BC under 40yo in 2020 alone , so just one year - 850
Overdose deaths total for BC in just 2020-1700
Overdoses where help was called -18000
So this may be a controversial opinion, but I believe all we have done in trying to save people from Covid is put those deaths elsewhere because of how this pandemic has gone down. If it were truly about saving lives, don’t you think the numbers above Are worth some attention. All we hear is pandemic of the unvaccinated etc and they are clogging up hospitals yet last year there were 18000 times that someone had to respond to an overdose in BC and we lost 1700 people in just BC to it, half were under 40. So 2100 deaths from Covid in BC over 2 years in mainly the elderly , obese or people with comorbidities and 1700 in just one year in BC from overdose. I guess my main point is why is everyone so concerned with vaccinating my 5 year old and no one appears to be concerned that the Covid lockdowns and mandates and all the stuff that has come with this pandemic is causing a drastic increase in overdoses and suicides. I think our priorities are out of whack. We’ve lost more people under 40 in BC to overdose in one year than we’ve lost to Covid in all of Canada.
