Absolutely, just like it’s raging in Alberta and had been in Ontario and Quebec. Again, my point was this virus could care less about our politics. The data has shown us, quite clearly, that regardless of political system or party in power, that the jurisdictions with the swiftest and strictest restrictions on physical interactions fared significantly better in terms of both economy and health.
I do realize that it is to be expected the pandemic will continue to be politicized as our various levels of government run our healthcare, regulate our economy, spend our tax $, etc. For my part, I’m thankful my parents and in-laws made it this far w/o infection and have all been vaccinated. As of yesterday, so are the wife and I (AZ @ Costco). I’m also thankful Canada’s infection and death rates have been significantly lower than comparable countries like the UK (triple infection and double mortality rate) or the US (triple our infection rate and mortality rates).
Hope everyone stays healthy and enjoys our beautiful province this spring as, counter to what someone posted earlier, not only is outdoor recreation (fishing) allowed it’s actually being encouraged!
Cheers!
