Based on the last 4 years I say the river will get enough fish for Brood stock around Oct.15,2010- Late fish are the only ones that have seemed to survive all the early fish have been killed.
I dunno guys....there were big fish being caught in Kyuquot this time last week. I don't know where they're going but talking with Nog he heard the same thing from a contact up there. His contact was pretty familiar with the shapes of these fish and said that they do look like they are possibly the "missing fish".
Hell....we had 35 million sockeye show up....some springs can be a bit late can't they? From reports I heard in Kyuquot through the summer the bigger fish were arriving notably later than in past years. A few of us on the board were up there in earlier July and the size was definitely smaller compared to the previous year.
If we're all eating turkey....and they aren't here....then be concerned. [] <sarcasm and over exaggeration>
