Alberni Chinook Regulation Change

Hello All,

Just in time for the Salmon Festival, **** and I were able to have the one under/one over size restriction lifted as of tomorrow sometime. Watch for the notice!

With the larger average size of the Chinook and the increased number of fish being caught in the upper inlet over the past few days, it was determined that the one under was almost impossible to catch and that the restriction posed no conservational value.

This should allow many of you more time on the water and a better chance of landing a derby contender.
Good fishing.

It shocks me to see the derby reinstated . Over the years we have witnessed the disappearance of large Chinooks. Now we promote derby's and change the rules to accommodate the meat and money hounds . Lets continue the pillage of the 4-7 year old gene pool or what's left of it.
