a COON in the mids

I have a young dog that is training to listen to all my commands
He is a good boy & heeds most of my wishes
My under covered deck keeps his Igloo dog house dry & most outdoor dayz he sleeps in there & is quite content

Today I commanded him to go in his house ..............he refused
That pissed me off cuz he defied my command
So I went close to the dog house & showed my dog that all was OK... by sticking my hand on the house

Big fricken mistake. I herd a shivering growl & was lucky to get my digets back
Now I know why my dog was defying me

Put my dog inside & knew my next goal was to get the Coon out
Armed with a mop handle I tipped the dog house to vacate the critter
This poor creature was missing part of his tail & walked as fast as my grandfather............But if it veered towards me in an aggressive manner. the coon would have to scratch it's itch with the the mop handle

He did not but E-vact as quickly as his poor soul could

Thank goodness it was not blind & did not knowingly walk close to me

I luv all god creatures...........unless they go 4 me

I pissed on the ones under my deck... They never came back

URin your jurisdiction.....................LOL If ya had a chance would ya put it out of it's misery????
Oh yeah - I know it sounds a little Arkansas but, in the Fall, when they've been eating the fallen fruit, they are great barbecued! Taste like chicken. lol
My brother and I would shoot them in the orchard at day-break, with our 22's. Skin them, then make coon-skin hats. The biggest one ever was close to 40 pounds! Nasty when they get riled up and they can be hard on the dogs the first time or two. Your dog had good instinct. My Shepherd had to get his nose stitched up to the tune of about $300.

I tried live-trapping last year but they are smart little buggers! The one I did get totally trashed the trap and got away.
