So with more and more people stepping up for the larger displacement outboards available on today’s market to power the ever-larger and larger boats being built (in direct proportion to the withering opportunities of available fish to chase…ha ha) like the F350, DF350 and Verado etc, all of which require minimum 89 octane gas, how do those octane requirements dovetail with what the more remote fuel docks have to offer in places like Dawson Landing, Klemptu, Hartley Bay etc?
Interestingly enough, the new BF350 Honda can run on 86 octane but according to the spec sheets, a Suzuki DF350 will immediately show its teeth if you try to run it on 86 octane….
Is this octane thing a concern these days in the more remoter fueling locations?
