3D Printer

3d printers are neat for aluminum, but keep in mind, that the printed models have no strength to them at all.
They're more for making a visible prototype of something than a working model (Have experience in this area)

This type of technology has been around for years in various formats. Like FishBC says they're mostly used for prototyping parts out of either paper or plastic polymers and can create an exact to scale replica of a part before going to the expense of having one machined or having dies or moulds fabricated. Still pretty cool technology though. I wonder if it could make a 3-d duplicate of Angelina Joelie for the den?
