Was out a few days ago around the bell. Had an aggressive fish rip it right off the clip 5 min into fishing. Great fight. Went for a few runs. Heavy fish. Well you know what happens next….. my friggin line broke! 25 lb fluoro. I always check my gear before dropping it down. Hook, line etc…looks like it will be mono from now on. Managed 5 other undersized and one 62cm fish that we kept. Good action. Flat calm. Overall a good day. My buddy was out yesterday and kept 2 decent fish. They were fishing the 175’ contour on the ebb. Right on bottom. Good luck out there!

The ones that get away are always the big heavy fish
thanks for the report, will be trying to get out tomorrow if everything goes good today. The wife went gear shopping with me today and seen the bill, now I need to take her out on a date and it better cost more than my gear or I ain’t going anywhere tomorrow lol

Pretty spectacular morning on the water. Took a buddy.
Fished the 155’ - 175’ contours, 8:15 to 10:45, from the north arm to the bell buoy. Landed around 15 fish. Kept 4, all between 64 - 68 cms.
Best action at the edges of bait balls, right on bottom. Stomachs of fish either empty or jammed with herring.
Practically t-shirt weather in the sun. Feb 8. Don’t tell anyone.

Great work out there! I didn’t get nearly as much action. Wrong tackle maybe?

We were on 3.5 spoons both sides, herring patterns, glow finish charged up.

Move spots, find the fish, flash fly got ours as soon as we found the fish

Was out Tuesday. Good action at the mouth of north arm on a glow plug on bottom with dummy flasher. 135-150 FOW. Was like summer!!! Kept one. Lost a big one beside boat after it wrapped itself around other DR line. Rookie friend on the rod haha. Also managed 6 male crab in one pot!!! Heard defence was a little slower than usual but it’s always worth a try. Good luck!

We fished the bell towards QA and North arm today lots of unders like 12 to 15 we managed two keepers lost another keeper and got our limit of crab really was a beautiful day out there to be honest-got slow for us in the afternoon-scrubbing bottom fishing 160 with the downrigger’s at like 185 190-little white squirts were the ticket

Awesome. I got a couple 60cm-ish right off the bat then it got pretty slow. Definitely a beautiful day out there.
