I don’t believe you can park for an overnight. In the summer/spring break or overflow weekends then the school. Contact the principal for payment/donation, schools always need the money and principals to for drinking. Not a fishing report but a question on parking at the ramp in town. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been to Tofino and even longer since I’ve launched a boat there. But looking at doing a boat trip from there this spring.
Can you park a truck/ trailer for a few days or what are the concerns there nowadays ?
The school is closer to the rampTRM might let you park in their gravel lot for a fee. I’ve parked there before. If it was the summer they would say no, but being in the spring there’s a good chance of leaving it there.
Totally worth it. Lots of salmon traveling through that time of year. Either spot can be great that time and both have beautiful scenery and fishing spots. Good time of year to get both Hali and Salmon. I like hitting the Lennard lighthouse and then a few spots up the coast. @Charter Tofino can give more insight but if you are staying in Tofino I would definitely get a charter to see it from a different perspective.Any thoughts on a Tofino salmon charter for the June 21 weekend? Worth the price at that time of year? Any difference between Ucluelet vs Tofino for salmon propsects?

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like I'll have to get something booked. Our first wave of consistent Chinook usually show up around June 15-20th. Squid usually light up around the same time. It’s right on the cusp on prime time but definitely worth a trip. Almost all of the Tofino outfits run a quality program and are worth reaching out to see if they have availability.
Your intel and a Tofino texting buddy who is now a guide were on the same page. Lennard was Slow but steady slot size springs and lots of wild coho the two days I got out. Got most of my springs at 33 feet and 55. Lost my favourite AP sand lance to a double header line cross over. I hate running inline flashers and thats where it broke. Another AP sand lance and skinny G glow did pretty well. Switched to dummy flasher and loved the smashes, so much fun. Lost a beauty right at the boat who spit the hook. Swell was stupid big and close together. Made solo netting with my monster net a bit challenging. Thankful there was only a few boats fishing where I was more north of the light.I would start at Lennard and work your way west if you don’t have any intel
