2025 Port Hardy Reports

This is another vast area just like Barkley Sound. You can find fish all over the place just look for bait if not move on.

If your just going for meat fishery sure run up to Sutil but I find exploring there way funner.

Some of best salmon fishing there honestly was Duvall or the point over to right of bay last time was there. I think it was this time of year if I remember correctly.

I would be hitting that.....

It's been hit or miss when i fished there around july 15-25 (filomi days), June's been way better.

usually see a lot of the charters head toward bremner this time of year.

I know there's the slot but nice waters to fish daphni, duval, castle point, back side of gorden group.
That’s too bad. I haven’t fished there for a couple of seasons but when I was there 2 years ago it was lights out. That shallow bank behind Hope island was as good as I’ve seen trolling up tons of nice springs and halibut.

Bremner can be great for quality springs but can be real combat fishing which I avoid

Definitely can echo that Duval and Daphne will be holding fish despite the slot size, and while lings might be rare close to Hardy, the halibut grounds off the port hardy airport are usually pretty reliable.

It's not the worst place in the world to be fishing ;) and nice to not be in a pack.

Slot pretty much everywhere until the 1st yeah?

Just fished 2 days in hardy. Definitely hit and miss, not a lot of bait on the sounder but got my share of mid 20’s springs up by suitl as well as coho and lings. Brown turd hoochie on the bottom and some nice coho on pearl white hoochies. Donated a cannonball today too unfortunately, off to telegraph for the rest of the week.

Just getting home after our annual boys fishing trip to Port Hardy.

Fished out of Bear Cove, where we had the boat moored and camped at Quatse River.

Fishing was hot at Duvall in the mornings, especially an hour after the tide change. Used both spoons and hoochies to find lots of wild coho, as well as spring salmon. Cop car spoon and purple haze hoochies had the most consistent success at 70’.

No sign of any pinks, but got our limit in springs, wild and hatchery coho each day.
