No but empty traps are common, in spots that use to produce well.

Uhg. Have not been out yet. Hopefully my spot is still producing but from reports maybe not

Beauty day for Ling opening. Had a nice one in no time.
OTOH prawning near Schooner Cove sucks.

Definetly slower prawning this year versus last year. Nice ling though!!!!!

Went out last Friday to sample the fishing. Good spring fishing, a few nice ones brought to the side.. but I have to report the amount of Coho out there was insane. Fins all over the surface in some spots, jumpers, lots of action, was amazed.. and mostly 4-5 pound size so will be a good June coming up and should see them pack on some good weight by september.

Very good to hear. Were you at French Creek?
I did a little practice jigging out at Sangster and Ballenas and it was slow. I was mostly running the boat to get used to the motors and autopilot system but did try jigging for a bit. Didn’t see much bait at either location either.
