2022 Merc 200 NEMA connection question

My 2005 Yamaha F200 was a simple wire plugged into a port on the motor, then connected to my NEMA backbone.

If I buy a new Merc, is it that simple, or do I need other parts?

Doesn’t work like that unfortunately. Need a vessel view I believe.

On my 2012, it’s not a plug and play. Need VesselView, or merc monitor to make the merc info talk through the nmea. Not sure if it’s changed on the newer outboards
