when you guys fish for winter springs at the break water are you right on the bottom?

In general when fishing for winters, you wanna be right on bottom. When I fish for winters one rod is bouncing bottom and the other rod is 5-10 feet off it. Careful if youre fishing the breakwater in tight... thats an unforgiving bottom. Most guys fish a little ways off it at brotchies at this time of year.
