Ninety-seven percent of the body of the 2015 F-150 is aluminum, the most extensive use of aluminum ever in a truck

The truck is 300 kg, or 700 pounds, lighter and uses 25 per cent less fuel than the current model.

"You're either moving ahead and you're improving and you're making it more valuable and more useful to the customer or you're not," Ford CEO Alan Mulally told The Associated Press in a recent interview.

25% better fuel economy... wow. anybody thinking of getting one?

I will be waiting a couple years to see how the new trucks entering the market work out. I'll be looking at 2016-2017 model years.

I bought into this new GMC 5.3 that runs on 4 cylinders when not under load. They know there's issues but there are no fixes. I bet they never come up with any fixes.

After all your hyperbole I would have thought you had an electric Lincoln.

Looking for a new car for the wife first then a new truck for me.
Always wanted to build and electric hot rod but that would cut into the fishing time.

Anyone know how much extra over base price one of these new fords would be?

A little hypocritical GLG. You and the wife should be looking for aluminum pogo sticks.....ya know, carbon footprint and all.
