Nice work Birdie!!
I hear Blake is headed out tonight and Jeffy mentioned he's likely heading out Friday.
I've been looking at the SST and chloro and it's looking pretty good further south. Unfortunately, the boat is still in the shop. Maybe I'll get it out in a few days and then perhaps I'll still have a tuna run (or two) left in me for this year. Nice work Birdsnest on getting out there today and getting a few.

Took 19 in total today all between 15 to under 30#. One was about 6 lbs, the smallest I ever saw.
Saw rissos dolphins today. They jump out of the water for us to show there size. Quite large about the size of a small orca. Had a little bird rest on our boat for a couple of hours.
No perfect blue water but perfect gin clear dark green/blueish water all day which is fine by me. Some commies with us today. Never broke 59 degrees all day but temp edges were near us. Green clones seemed to be the go today and the dive boards were the main attraction for certain being run at about 20 feet. Water was glass all day. We were 3 boats today on of which spent the night out there and they had a good night.

I would sure like to. Unfortunately I "may" have some work travel getting in the way...but if weather looks good I could easily be convinced to juggle some meetings.

The third boat went 24 4 28!! Oh and since it was glassy all day all morning and when we left there were tuna jumping everywhere!! Its frusterating seeing that and not getting takes. While it is cool to see them jump we dont seem to get them when they are jumping. We finaly found a school that gave up there 10 20 by jumping that would actualy bite after about an hour and a half of no bites with jumpers everywhere. We took about 7 fish from them within a half an hour. Had 2 triple headers today with a few doubles. Not much on the far back stuff. Some on the mid distance stuff but most on the diveboards.

Just got in from the Barkley Canyon. Started at 37 miles and ended up at about 51. Only found 58.5 degree water. We went 13 4 20, mostly mexican flag. Got one on anchovy in a teaser head on the Islander
A great flat calm day, lots of dolphin, whales, a shark and sunfish. We never got a Tuna until 1 pm and then about 2 1/2 hours of fun. Ossama, Slivo, and others were having about the same kind of day and spending the night. I'm not going out tommorrow but may be back out Saturday.
